This diary is a love letter to life in New York City, its frenetic aesthetics and obsessive creativity. It’s a carefully curated collection of my favorite coffee shops, cocktail bars, shopping and things to do. And inbetween, I share my thoughts, my nyc apartment, and what’s in my closet atm.

Born in Germany, based in Brooklyn with my husband and wild toddler. I studied architecture, worked on technology products to make buildings better for all of us, and after my third tech layoff, I took this brand fulltime.

My first content love was Youtube and I technically started my channel back in 2017 with a few casual videos as a way to settle into my post-grad life in nyc. Then I officially (re)launched the @newyorkplease Youtube channel at the start of 2023 while working fulltime to reconnect with the city I live in. To discover, get lost, and find New York ~ cafes to lounge at, wine bars to wander into, shops to inspire and spots that spark joy. At the time, it had 100 subscribers.

My goal was 1,000. But as it turns out, you love New York City too.

My NYC vlogs hit over 1M views and grew to a community of 27k people in just 12 months. I stopped looking for my next tech job and now create fulltime to land the dream collaborations that grow this brand and allow me to connect with all of you.
